Initial brief
Jamie Roberts is a talented roofer who set up his own sole trader business a number of years ago.
He was referred to Brickbooks and Payroll by his wife as he was becoming overwhelmed with HMRC bills and demands.
Jamie's previous accountant did not offer tax advice therefore he was unaware of what could be done and the tax reliefs available.
Solution
Brickbooks and Payroll conducted an evening initial review as the situation felt urgent. It was concluded that while Jamie was very busy and had a great turnover, he was not on top of daily bookkeeping, lacked clarity over his accounts and therefore was unprepared for HMRC bills.
With these chores taken off Jamie, he was able to focus on the actual work in front of him.
We restructured his business to make it much more tax efficient and he is now able to keep more of the money he earns.

Maison Management Services is a very busy local maintenance company who found they were not receiving the support they needed from their Accountants to make decisions in good time. Steph never knew where she was with her finances and didn't know what she was actually earning. She really needed expert bookkeeping and needed it fast!
Solution
Brickbooks and Payroll offered Steph regular bookkeeping and weekly updates to get up to date.
Steph required emergency help with the bookkeeping for the initial 3 months after coming on board and weekly meetings. Once the bookkeeping was corrected and up to date, we were able to start looking at KPIs and future plans of the business.
